I Almost Lost My Leg...
In 2023, a devastating accident left me facing amputation, months in a wheelchair, and a future I couldn't imagine. Doctors told me I'd never be able to ride or even be around my horse again.
But through it all, one thing kept pulling me forward.
Merlin. My horse. My heart. And one of my greatest reasons to keep fighting.
I wanted to walk beside him again. To care for him.
To enjoy those quiet moments together that only another horse lover truly understands.
He had been there for me when I needed him the most. Now I needed to get better so I could be there for him again.💛
Then Something Hit Me Like a Ton of Bricks...
For years, I'd given my horses the best care I could.
Good nutrition, exercise, regular vet checks, and everything they needed to stay healthy and strong.
But there I was, unable to walk, leave my house, or even take care of myself. And all I could think about was Merlin.
I'd spent my whole life asking, "What do my horses need from me?"
But I'd never once asked, "What happens to them if something happens to me?"
And now, suddenly, that question wasn't hypothetical anymore.
How could I take care of the horse I loved when I couldn't even take care of myself?
I never imagined my life could change so completely, so quickly. 💛
I Didn't Just Want to Walk Again. I Wanted My Horse Life Back 💛
Every time I was able to visit Merlin, he was so gentle, patient, and careful with me.
His love and compassion gave me another reason to keep pushing forward.
But I was beginning to understand something very important.
Healing my leg was only one part of getting my life back.
If I wanted to care for Merlin and someday ride again...
I had to rebuild my overall health while learning how to stand and walk again.
I needed to understand what was happening with my whole body,
from my physical and mental well-being to something I'd never really considered before:
my Cellular Health.
Because I didn't just want to recover.
I wanted to be healthy and strong enough to be with Merlin again, doing the things we loved.
But How Do You Do That? 💛
That was the question I had to ask myself. And maybe it's one you've asked, too.
We all have those little everyday struggles we brush off as "just getting older."
But just because you feel fine today doesn't mean tomorrow will look the same.
We've all heard the saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
And if you could do something today to help keep your horse healthy and strong for years to come,
wouldn't you do it?
So why not give yourself that same chance?
That's what this short wellness quiz is designed to do:
help you see your overall well-being from a different perspective and become more aware of things you may never have considered.
It only takes 2 minutes. Isn't your future horse life worth that? 🐴💛
No Pressure, No Judgement, Just Clarity

I Never Thought It Could Happen to Me 💛
I never imagined that one day I'd be unable to care for myself, let alone the horse I loved so much.
Merlin gave me a reason to keep fighting, even on the hardest days.
And every day I get to spend with him now is something I will never take for granted again.
I can't change what happened to me.
But if sharing my story helps even one horsewoman start taking better care of herself before life forces her to,
then something wonderful has come from it.
Because sometimes it takes almost losing everything to realize just how much our horses need us,
how much we need them, and how precious every moment we still have together really is.
Here's to many more years with the horses we love. 🐴💛
